A lot of people think that choosing a place for dog in their house is an easy task, they don’t need any help with. However, it is just a voice of ignorance, they simply don’t realize how dangerous our homes can be for pets. Making a mistake in choosing a living space for your dog can cost him his health or even life.

Finding dangerous places.

First thing you have to ask yourself when you are trying to find the right place for your dog is: “Where my dog wouldn’t be safe.” Anywhere where you can find sharp objects or toxic substances can injure your dog.

Dogs are like little babies, they go throughout the world, trying to discover it with all their senses, taste and touch are probably the most dangerous ones. If you will leave your pet in a place where he can find strong cleaning substances, there are good chances he will try to find out how it tastes. And liquids like that are very harmful and even small dose will cause diarrhea and hard food poisoning.

Avoiding irritating smells and sounds.

Your dog just like you needs peace and quite to rest. If you will place his living space in the area where he is often exposed to irritating smells and loud sounds, he won’t be able to feel really good there.

Dogs have much more sensitive smell than humans, so even small but constant dosages of irritating smell will make him stressed and unable to relax.

The same thing applies to hearing, dogs can hear much more than we can. That is why forcing them to listen to loud music will make them stressed and unhappy. That is why you should avoid it by any means.

As you can see, process of choosing the right spot for your dog to live in, isn’t as easy as most of the people think. Rather than take it for granted that your dog will feel comfortable wherever you place his bed, take few minutes and think about if it is really true.
